KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED

Recently we have had several situations where people have purchased RAM not knowing exactly what they needed.  We do not take memory back.  RAM is volatile.  The more it is handled, the more it degrades.  This is why we don’t take it back.  Make sure you know exactly what the motherboard specifics are before you purchase otherwise you may end up with stock you can’t use.

One thing you may want to be aware of.  Over the past 3 weeks we have had two customers order RAM that we don’t stock.  These were both for Dell Computers and they got the information from Dells website and from their tech support line.  The website was wrong.  It stated that the board required unbuffered RAM when it actually needed buffered.  This cost the customer a great deal of time and money.  The other situation was similar.  Dells tech support staff (after waiting on hold for 45 minutes) told the customer that the board required PC100 ECC Registered.  It didn’t work.  The customer now owns $220 worth of useless RAM.  Way to go Dell!

PC CHIPS FEEDBACK

After announcing that we would no longer sell PC Chips, I did receive a lot of feedback.  The majority was positive.  Many people realized that selling low quality product is not profitable in the long run.  There were a few that weren’t happy about it.  You can’t please all of the people all of the time.
