CPU PRICE DROP

The regularly scheduled price drop from Intel and AMD occurred at the end of July.  This one was significant.  I don’t think I have ever seen such an “across the board” price drop in the 12 years I have been doing this.  Not only did the prices come way down on the high end processors, but the end of life CPU’s came down an almost equal amount. Dual core processors are now the standard.  Single core will be for the cheap systems and repairs until end of life.

Here are a couple of samples:

P4 LGA775 1MB BOXED (531) WAS $200 NOW $116.00

ATHLON 3800 DUAL CORE BOXED WAS $312 NOW $182.00

Check out hard drive prices as well.  They have also come way down.  300GB is now the sweet spot.  (When available) they are about $127.00 and dropping fast.  You can now get a 200GB drive for less than $100.  These are all SATA2 as well.

We are no longer going to attach the price list to this email.  We are trying to encourage everyone to view pricing on the website.  If you still need a hard copy drop me a line and I’ll take care of it.
